The New Kingdom

Saint Augustine: "The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page"

I've been incredibly fortunate in my life to have visited a number of special places. I've once again recently seen one of those places.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The trip would take 11 days. First stop Riyadh. An immense bursting city that I have no doubt will be a major travel destination in the coming years. It has a flair for the opulent, expansive and beautiful. A theme of sorts for the trip and the country’s vision of its future.

Our next destination travelled briefly to the burgeoning city of NEOM. Essentially a city about to rise from the shore of the Red Sea. There we saw the almost unbelievably humongous construction site that will be the Line.

After our brief stop and quick trip out to new Luxury Island Sindalah for dinner before flying to the more centrally located Alula the next morning.

This desert oasis was simply stunning. Another of the places I'm sure you'll start to see all the influencers going to in the coming years. The landscape was incredible, having watched Aladdin when I was young. I now know where the caravans and camels roam. All I needed was a Genie! From awe-inspiring limestone tombs and camel racing to thrilling dune bashing, the experience was unforgettable.

I wasn't quite sure what to make of KSA prior to the trip, but have now seen that it's a country on the verge of being a new world destination. A land of warm and friendly people. Stunning architecture and succulent food. Whatever preconceived ideas one might have from the western world, I think you'll discover a much more vibrant and welcoming side to the Kingdom.

Dates and Coffee for all!

I had to add this for anyone wanting complimentary music!
