Hi, I’m Ryan. I was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, but spent much of my childhood in Calgary, Alberta. I returned to Vancouver to study film and visual effects at the Vancouver Film School. There I learned about light and composition which would become the foundation for my photography. 

Not until a six-month break from the film industry for a backpacking trip to Europe did I really start to get behind the lens. Not only was it the trip of a lifetime, but it was also a trip that changed the course of my life. Upon my return, I began to realize my potential as a photographer.

Since then, I have worked for various companies and agencies throughout Greater Vancouver. I've worked on many projects across western Canada travelling to Edmonton, Calgary, Victoria and many places in between. 

I've been fortunate enough that my work has brought me to shoot and document some remote locations in Iceland and North Korea

Currently living in Vancouver, Canada. Available for travel.
